Review : Garnier Skin Naturals Serum Masks

Sheet masks: Is essence of the Korean skin care routine and they have been accepted all around the world. The skincare and beauty industry is loaded with sheet masks with innumerous varieties of serums, it’s hard to choose!

Similarly, Garnier came up with 3 serum masks recently and I decided to give them a try, as sheet masks are included in my regular skin care routine. Before we dive into my thoughts, let’s get you a clear view of sheet masks and serums.

Serums

Serums are a solution of extracts and nutrients and sheets made up of fabrics and gels are soaked into them. The serums penetrate deep into the damaged skin and heal it. They nourish, hydrate and moisturize, making the skin softer and healthier. They cure pigmentation, scars, deep pores, uneven tones, dry or dehydrated skin and they also help minimizing acne. Serums are soft and subtle on skin and are good for every skin type. They’re basically skin food in a liquid form! You can read more about sheet masks and serums here.

Review: Garnier Skin Naturals Serum Masks

The sheet masks come in 3 different serums and they’re drenched in it. Garnier claims that one sheet mask gives you one week worth of nourishment and care of the serums. I decided to give them a try and here are my thoughts:

Packaging

The packaging of these masks are quiet shiny and bright, retained in a pouch with a protective cover. I believe it is quiet hygienic but it gets a little messier while unfolding the masks with the cover intact. The protective blue cover is also drenched with serum, make sure you squeeze the goodness out!

Quantity and Price

As the sachet is quiet big and full, you get more than enough quantity of serum inside. One sheet mask is smeared with 32g of serum at just 99INR. It is affordable. You can dab the extra serum as a night gel / serum before you sleep. The quantity is surely going to please you!

The Quality and Texture

The texture of the serum is pretty watery with adequate oily consistency.  It sinks deep inside without leaving an excessive oily touch. However it is not matte, a little glow peeks out and a soft moisture remains up to 6 hours. The serum has a very soft and subtle fragrance and it is refreshing. The glow remains untouched up to 2 – 3 days.

Garnier Serum Masks: Varieties

In India, Garnier came up with 3 different sheet masks which serves different purposes.

  1. Garnier Serum Mask Hydra Bomb

This mask comes in a beautiful blue sachet and claims to plump and hydrate the skin. It is enriched with pomegranate and hyaluronic acid which are extremely helpful in rebuilding up the skin from the insides. Hyaluronic acid helps keeping the skin moisturized and plumpy. This mask is suitable for those with dry and dehydrated skin, it can surely bring out the healthy glow. It is suitable for all skin types. I have an oily skin and I experienced no discomfort or breakouts. However, if you are a  person with an oily skin, this sheet mask can add an extra shine to your face, as it is highly moisturizing and gives a dewy glow.

  1. Garnier Skin Naturals Serum Mask Light Complete

The goodness inside this mask comes in a bright lemony sachet and is my favorite.  It is also enriched with hyaluronic acid, lemon and vitamin C. These ingredients boost up the brightness and overall health of the skin. Lemon and vitamin C have hydrating and bleaching properties and this sheet mask helps you get rid of dull skin. It reduces the spots and also plumps the skin up. This is ideal for oily skin as it doesn’t leaves excessive oily traces. It also suppressed tiny bumps in my skin. It suitable for sensitive skin too.

  1. Garnier Skin Naturals Serum Mask Sakura White

This mask has a very cute pink packaging and is enriched with hyaluronic acid and japanese sakura. It claims to give a pinkish glow and is ideal for a glowless skin. If you have a dull and lifeless skin, this can work for you. This sheet mask adds a soft glow that stays up to 2 days. It is also suitable for sensitive skin. However, this sheet mask can be a little too heavy for oily skin.

Garnier Skin Naturals Serum Mask: How to Use

Carefully place the sheet mask on your face and separate the blue protective cover. I massage it well and let it sit and simmer on my face. You can peel it off after 15 minutes and give your skin a soft massage afterwards.

I keep the sheet mask on for more than 15 minutes and massage my entire face with it. I also dab the excess serum under my eyes and cheeks, I noticed the procedure helps shrinking the pores and gives a blurred and soft texture.

My thoughts and Recommendations

These masks are affordable and can be included in the daily skin care routine, they’re not overwhelming and are really soft and subtle. I experienced no discomfort and I’ll totally recommend this to people who are confused about sheet masks or are just starting as these are suitable for every skin type. However, I experienced, my skin was able to preserve the glow and softness for just 2 – 3 days. These masks have a very sweet and subtle aroma that can totally enrich your pampering session with relaxation. My oily skin preferred the Garnier Skin naturals Serum Mask Light Complete, as it was really soft and brightening. All the masks have the properties of hyaluronic acid, which can totally give dehydrated skin a breath of freshness.
