The skin care industry is surely flooded with amazing face packs and masks but a face soufflé is what I tried for the first time! Lotus Herbals came up with a sweet, aromatic face soufflé recently, called Ikkai and the packaging wasn’t the only thing I loved. Keeping my regular skincare routine aside, I decided to give this pleasing sachet of goodness, a try. Here are my thoughts!

Review: Lotus Ikkai Face Soufflé: Orange Boost

Lotus Herbals introduced 3 beautifully packed soufflé with the goodness of orange, berry and papaya. I decided to try something tangy and sweet and went with the orange and berries! As orange is loaded with Vitamin C and nothing can be better than its goodness in my shiny and greasy oily face. Oranges are citrus fruits and contain 88% of Vitamin C. It has citric acid which naturally exfoliates and nourishes the skin and restores the collagen. It keeps the dull and dried skin hydrated and plump! Orange is indeed a fruit with amazing benefits. It can also calm acne prone skin.

Packaging

This soufflé has a very adorable packaging, with the goodness tightly preserved. One has to tear up the sachet and push the required quantity out. I feel a nozzle would have made the work easier and clean. The souffle should be used within 2 years from the day of manufacturing.

Price and Quantity

You get 10gms of this tangy and berry goodness for just 85INR. The quantity is enough and can be used at least twice.

Aroma and Texture

This soufflé feels like a sweet cake icing and has a pleasant aroma. It stays soft and creamy and doesn’t dry up. It is soft but it doesn’t leave any oily trace on the skin. I enjoyed the sweet and tangy essence it has, it left the skin feeling plump, bright and refreshed.

However, while my skin enjoyed the freshness, I experienced a little tingling sensation which I was not expecting.

Skin Types

Lotus Herbals Ikkai Face Soufflés claims to be for all the skin types. It surely delivers a radiant skin as promised but if you have a sensitive skin, I’d recommend a patch test before using as sensitive and acne prone skin can get badly irritated even with a mild tingling sensation.

How to use: Lotus Herbals Ikkai Face Soufflé

Cleanse your face and make sure you pat it dry, squeeze out a generous amount and smear it all over the face and neck using a face pack brush or your fingers equally. Let the soufflé simmer and settle and wait for 10 minutes. As it is very creamy in texture, it will get absorbed deep inside the skin and will not dry up. Wash off. It is a simple 10 minute step that I loved. You can have a little fruity and fresh skin care moment once every week!

My thoughts and Conclusions

I absolutely adored the packaging and formula, it leaves the skin fresh, bright and plump. The glow lasted almost 3 days without any oily trace. It is refreshing and relaxing at the same time and affordable too. The sachet is for a single use, but it can be used at least twice, the quantity isn’t disappointing! However, a tingling sensation can be felt for the first 2-3 minutes. I was quite accepting and it did my skin no harm. I felt no discomfort and the results were pretty bright and astonishing. I’ll totally recommend it if you have a dull skin. It surely brightens up and gives you a glow that lasts pretty long.  However, I also recommend a patch test.
